American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg position requiring an active VA or compact RN license and at least 1 year of experience.
Job Details
• Medical-Surgical Combination unit within an academic community hospital,
• 24-bed unit serving patients of all ages,
• Patient ratio of 1:6,
• Uses Meditech EHR system,
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday,
• Every other weekend or as-needed weekend coverage required,
• As-needed float requirements,
• As-needed call requirements,
Job Requirements
• Active RN license (Virginia or Compact),
• Current BLS, HWC, and NIH certifications required,
• HWC certification available on-site,
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required,
• 2+ years of Med/Surg experience preferred,
Additional Information
• Work within a 250-bed academic community hospital recognized as a Chest Pain Center and Certified Advanced Primary Stroke Center,
• Facility offers comprehensive surgical services, 24-hour ED, cardiac rehabilitation, and medical/radiation oncology services,
• Random drug screening consent and completion of a Criminal Questionnaire/Consent Form required,
• Scrub color is flexible but casual wear is not permitted,
• Candidates must reside 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify for the travel rate,
• Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the past 12 months,
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full-time while on assignment
