Opportunity Overview
We have an opening for a Ambulatory Surgery Center Registered Nurse to join our team at Shady Grove Fertility in Orlando, Florida.
  • Schedule: Monday through Friday, from 5:30 AM to 2:00 PM; one weekend per month and three holidays per year

In this role, the Ambulatory Surgery Center Registered Nurse will:
  • Deliver high-quality, compassionate, and evidence-based nursing care in the operating room setting
  • Assist in pre-operative assessments and verifying surgical consents
  • Perform pre-operative, intraoperative, and post-operative patient care duties for surgical procedures including egg retrievals, hysteroscopies, embryo transfers
  • Monitor patients intraoperatively and responding to patient status changes or emergencies
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, anesthesia providers, and clinical support teams
  • Perform accurate instrument and supply counts in compliance with safety standards
  • Maintain sterile field and ensuring adherence to infection control protocols
  • Document patient care in the EMR system in real-time with attention to accuracy and detail
  • Provide post-operative education and discharge instructions to patients and their partners
  • Participate in patient safety, quality improvement initiatives, and ASC accreditation compliance
  • Support a collaborative and emotionally supportive environment for patients and staff
  • Maintain inventory of OR supplies and recommending cost-effective ordering strategies
  • Participate in training, development, and education for new nursing staff or surgical support

What You'll Bring
We're looking for professionals who bring both technical skill and a deep sense of responsibility to the care experience-individuals who thrive in environments where excellence, empathy, and accountability matter.
Qualifications and Skills Include:
  • Current RN license
  • 1 year of recent experience in an operating room, PACU, or ambulatory surgery center setting, preferred
  • Current AHA, BLS, and ACLS certifications (or ability to obtain prior to start)
  • Strong understanding of perioperative nursing principles, sterile technique, and patient safety protocols
  • Excellent critical thinking, assessment, and communication skills
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced and high-acuity surgical environment
  • Experience using electronic health records (EHR) systems
  • Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
  • Professionalism, flexibility, and a collaborative spirit
