Job description

Education and/or Experience

  • Must be enrolled in a four-year engineering program. Must be 1-2 years away from graduation.
  • Willingness to work in a plant/manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with software such as
    • Microsoft Office tools
    • Design and Drafting Software: SolidWorks and AutoCAD
    • PLC/HMI Programming Software: Siemens Fanuc, Allen Bradley, etc.
    • Software Development: C++, Visual Studio, Basic, etc.
  • Capability to reach electrical, mechanical, pneumatics, and hydraulic machine prints
  • Hands-on experience with engines and machining is preferred but not required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and take initiative
  • Consistently demonstrate critical and innovative thinking skills
  • Project Management skills preferred
  • Must be able to collaborate and work effectively with anyone

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist with designing and troubleshooting electronic circuits, electrical control cabinets, and integrated PLC/CNC systems
  • Assist with maintaining machine software, machine backups, and maintenance electrical PM routines
  • Analyzes operational problems and develops modifications in design/programming to improve efficiency
  • Assist with training in installation, maintenance, and repair techniques.
  • Assist with updating documentation for maintenance procedures
  • Assist in process improvements and cost reduction projects
  • Participate and/or lead problem solving activities
  • Other duties as assigned
