Job Description SummaryThe Graduate Assistant - Social Media Ambassador Manager joins the University Communications Office to help plan, produce, and manage social media content for Saint Leo University and its alumni channels. This role bridges content creation and team coordination and students will appear in and create content while also scheduling, mentoring, and supporting the Social Media Student Ambassador team. The ideal candidate is organized, comfortable on-camera, and enthusiastic about representing Saint Leo University.Job Description

Responsibilities:

Coordinate with campus departments to schedule student and staff coverage for photography and video at upcoming events.

Serve as a Social Media Ambassador by appearing in, capturing, and editing video content for university and alumni social media channels using a phone or camera.

Attend weekly planning meetings with students and staff to review scheduling needs and plan upcoming content.

Mentor and support Student Ambassadors with content creation, editing, and best practices.

Attend campus events during the week, evenings, and weekends as assigned.

Assist with content asset management and editing as needed.

Provide general administrative support to the University Advancement team.

Qualifications:

Required:

Currently enrolled full-time in a Saint Leo University graduate program.

Experience managing social media channels and creating engaging content.

Strong on-camera presence and communication and interpersonal skills.

Punctual, self-motivated, and organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable learning new tools and platforms.

Preferred:

Experience editing photos and videos in Adobe applications.

Background or interest in communications, marketing, or a related field.

Physical Demands:

Climbing, standing, walking, sitting. Subject to inside and outside environmental conditions. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds. Work requires use of phone and a computer.
