DHL Express has an opening for aCasual/Part Time Warehouse Associateat ourCalgary, ABlocation.You will support the business by accurately and efficiently managing shipments and packages in order to serve our customers' needs to the best of our ability. Join us and help us achieve our mission of having the best day every day.

Wage: $23.38/hour and will increase as per the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA)

Shift: On call basis, shifts will be scheduled between 8am - 10pm Monday to Friday.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Unload and/or load containers, trailers, and vehicles safely correctly and efficiently
  • Move freight within the warehouse area as per agreed safety procedures
  • Participate in the organization and clean-up of the warehouse area
  • Participate in maintaining a safe and co-operative work environment
  • Scan freight as per Global SOP in various programs
  • Accurately sort & process, by deadlines, in-bound and out-bound material
  • Responding to emails
  • Other warehouse/retail duties as assigned by the shift Supervisor

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must be minimum 18 years of age to undergo prerequisite background checks.
  • Ability to lift and carry parcels, up to and including 70lbs. per piece throughout the shift
  • Comfortable working at heights and standing for long periods.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively and on time within tight time constraints.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Broad general working knowledge of warehouse functions an asset

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Often fatiguing or uncomfortable - hot or cold warehouse environment dependent upon season. The job might often require concentrated levels of attention and physical activity. Tension and time constraints may be an on-going aspect of the job.Uniforms are supplied.
