Job description

Consolidated Gypsum Supply Ltd. distributes building materials.  We are currently looking for a Warehouse Material Handler to join our team in Calgary. 

 RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Load, unload and move building materials 
  • Place building materials into designated warehouse/yard positions
  • Pick/assemble customer/delivery orders
  • Operate mid to large size sit-down counterbalance propane forklift trucks (Hyster 60 and 120)
  • Serve "Pick Up" Customers
  • Conduct inspections, paperwork, cycle counting
  • Perform warehouse housekeeping duties
  • Take photos of incoming deliveries and customer pick-ups

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Previous experience working in a warehouse
  • Previous experience operating Hyster 60 and 120 forklifts
  • Able to repeatedly lift over 75 lbs
  • Able to regularly stand, bend, lift and move repeatedly during shifts
  • Strong English written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions year round

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Full-time, year-round employment
  • No Sundays
  • Physically challenging work (lifting building materials including drywall, roofing supplies and insulation)
  • Includes both indoor and outdoor yard work in all weather conditions
