Job description

Have you ever wanted to be part of a team building industry-changing technology? At Leo, we are building a low Earth orbit satellite network that will deliver broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities. Come join one of Amazon's most ambitious bets, with customers like Delta Airlines, JetBlue, AT&T, and others already committed ahead of commercial launch.
We are seeking an HRP Manager to lead the team of Site HR Partners supporting Leo's Production Operations (ProdOps) organization and to serve as the single-threaded HRP leader for the ProdOps business. You'll be part of a team delivering on one of Amazon's boldest bets, from production floor to orbit, in an environment where every satellite is a one-way-door decision and the pace demands manager excellence as a precondition to mission success.
This is not a standard corporate HR role. ProdOps is 24/7 aerospace manufacturing, where the managers your team supports are navigating the intersection of Amazon's people management culture with the operational discipline of aerospace manufacturing. Many are external hires who bring deep technical expertise but are still building fluency in how Amazon develops people, or Amazon veterans encountering manufacturing realities for the first time. They need HR Partners who build sustained advisory relationships, understand their operating context deeply, and enable them to lead effective teams with confidence and self-sufficiency.
In this role, you will lead a team of Site HRPs who own the manager experience end-to-end across the hourly manufacturing workforce, and you will be accountable for the quality, consistency, and impact of the guidance they provide managers. You will set the HRP strategy and standard of excellence for the ProdOps business, ensuring your team operates as independent strategic partners, not conduits: gathering inputs, synthesizing them into action, driving to closure, and proactively communicating risks before they become problems. The scope of guidance your team delivers to managers spans performance management, employee relations, talent decisions, compensation, policy guidance, and crisis support.
What differentiates this role is how you build capability at scale. You will develop your team's advisory judgment, raise the bar on the quality of their guidance, and drive standardization, efficiency, and continuous improvement across the function. You will champion AI-first approaches to HRP service delivery, leveraging tools like Amazon Quick, QuickSight dashboards, and automated workflows to put the right data in managers' hands at the right moment, scale your team's impact, and build a partnership model that prevents problems rather than just resolving them. As the single-threaded HRP leader for ProdOps, you will coordinate closely with the Corp ProdOps HRP and Launch Services HRP so the business experiences one connected HRP partnership across the hourly, salaried, and launch populations. The role requires regular travel to production sites to support your team, understand evolving business challenges, and maintain strong relationships with operational leadership.
Key job responsibilities
Lead and Develop the Site HRP Team: Directly manage a team of 6 Site HRPs supporting the hourly manufacturing workforce across production sites and shifts. Demonstrate a clear understanding of the performance and leadership bar and apply it to hiring and talent decisions. Provide regular coaching and feedback that grows each HRP's functional skill and leadership capability, and set individual goals that ladder to team and function objectives.
Set HRP Strategy and Standard of Excellence for ProdOps: Serve as the single-threaded HRP leader for the ProdOps business. Lead deployment of the HRP strategy for ProdOps, drive synergies by coordinating with the business and respective Line HR leaders, and ensure your team delivers a consistent, high-quality manager experience across all sites and shifts.
Ensure High-Quality Manager Guidance: Review the guidance and case work your team handles to ensure quality, sound judgment, and timely closure. Own team metrics and the manager customer experience, coaching your team to operate as independent advisors who synthesize inputs into action and communicate risk proactively rather than acting as conduits.
Coordinate Across the Full ProdOps HRP Delivery Model: Partner closely with the Corp ProdOps HRP and Launch Services HRP to ensure connected, consistent manager support across the hourly, salaried, and launch populations. Align on shared mechanisms, hand-offs, and escalation paths so the ProdOps business experiences one integrated HRP partnership regardless of channel.
Drive Efficiency and Continuous Improvement at Scale: Identify opportunities for standardization and optimization, and drive process improvements at scale through your HR Partners. Continuously improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the team so capacity shifts from reactive case handling toward proactive, capability-building work.
Own Complex ER and Investigations: Take end-to-end ownership of complex workplace investigations, escalations, and change management, diving deep to identify root causes and implement sustainable resolutions in a high-stakes, fast-paced environment.
Build Manager Capability Through Mechanisms: Design and run mechanisms that build manager capability over time (manager enablement, structured coaching, proactive insight tools) so managers lead effective teams with growing confidence and self-sufficiency.
Measure & Inspect: Design and implement a listening mechanism strategy encompassing structured visibility, floor observations, and proactive sentiment monitoring. Establish centralized data repositories, dashboard-driven trend analysis, and feedback loop closure mechanisms that surface employee experience signal before it becomes escalation.
AI-First Service Delivery: Drive the transformation of HRP service delivery through AI-powered tools, automated workflows, and self-service mechanisms that reduce manual overhead, increase HRP capacity for advisory work, and position the team ahead of Amazon-wide operating model shifts (e.g., Aza-first ingress). Build team fluency in AI tools and champion adoption across the HRP function.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Master's degree in Human Resources, Human Resources Management, Labor Relations, Business/Management, Psychology, or a related field
- Experience working with and protecting confidential and sensitive HR information
- Experience consulting with senior leadership and executives in a fast-paced environment
- Experience coordinating people support across multiple HR delivery channels (e.g., site + corporate + launch/rotational populations) to deliver an integrated partnership
- Experience leveraging AI tools, automation, and data analytics platforms to transform HR operations, scale team impact, and drive measurable efficiency gains
- Experience building and operationalizing employee listening mechanisms (floor walks, site observations, structured sentiment programs) in manufacturing or 24/7 operational environments
