Job Summary:
Alpha Business Solutions is seeking an experienced Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join their Quality Engineering team. The role involves ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of software applications through comprehensive testing and collaboration with various teams.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Development teams to understand business and technical requirements.
• Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Execute manual and automated tests to ensure software quality and functionality.
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and document findings with detailed reproduction steps.
• Communicate testing progress, quality metrics, and release readiness to stakeholders.
• Design, develop, maintain, and enhance automated test frameworks and reusable test libraries.
• Create automated tests using Java, Groovy, Kotlin, Selenium, Appium, or similar technologies.
• Improve automation coverage, reliability, and execution efficiency.
• Conduct code reviews to ensure automation code follows object-oriented design principles and coding standards.
• Build, maintain, and optimize automated testing pipelines within CI/CD environments.
• Integrate automated test suites into Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or equivalent platforms.
• Support continuous integration and continuous deployment processes.
• Perform API testing using REST and SOAP technologies.
• Validate web services and backend integrations using tools such as Postman or SoapUI.
• Execute cross-browser, cross-platform, web, and mobile application testing.
• Troubleshoot application issues using logs and monitoring tools.
• Mentor and coach junior QA and SDET team members.
• Establish testing standards, best practices, and quality processes.

Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) or Software Quality Engineer.
• Experience supporting major software product releases and enterprise application integration projects.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices.
• Experience mentoring or coaching junior QA team members.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
