About Our Family
We are a busy, active family with two elementary-aged kids who are always on the go between school, sports, and everything in between. Our home is full of energy and the wonderful chaos that comes with raising kids. We also share our home with two lovable dogs - a sweet, senior rescue who has been with us for years and a spirited one-year-old lab who keeps everyone on their toes.
Both parents work full-time and are often out of the home or traveling, which means we rely heavily on whoever supports us to be a true partner in running the household - not just someone who checks boxes, but someone who notices what needs to happen and proactively takes care of it. We had an incredible helper with us for three years who felt like family, and that experience shaped exactly what we are looking for: someone warm, capable, and genuinely invested in the well-being of our kids and our home.
We are a family that values reliability and the feeling of coming home to a household that runs smoothly. If you thrive in an environment where no two days are exactly alike and you find satisfaction in making a family's life genuinely easier, you will feel right at home with us.
Who You Are / What We're Looking For
You are seasoned, warm, reliable, and the kind of person who walks into a home and just gets it - you see what needs to be done and you do it without being asked. You are not looking for a job where you wait for instructions; you are someone who takes initiative, reads the room, and brings calm, capable energy to whatever comes your way.
With kids, you are nurturing and engaging. You bring patience and a genuine love of spending time with children - helping with homework, redirecting to activities beyond screens, and being a steady, trusted presence from the moment they step off the bus. You understand that this role is much more than childcare; it is an opportunity to be a meaningful part of a family's daily life.
On the household side, you are organized and detail-oriented, the kind of person who naturally tracks what is running low, follows through on tasks without reminders, and takes pride in a well-functioning home. You communicate openly, feel comfortable being present even when the family is home, and approach your work with professionalism and warmth in equal measure. You're an experienced, grounded professional who understands the trust that comes with this kind of role and takes it seriously.
