Job description

Delivery Driver Associate

Location: 2097 Harpers Road, Virginia Beach, VA

Compensation & Benefits

  • Starting pay: $21.00 per hour
  • Paid training at $21.00 per hour
  • Overtime opportunities at $31.50 per hour

Delivery Driver Associate Responsibilities

  • Typical shift hours are approximately 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM
  • Work 4 days per week, averaging 8–10 hours per shift
  • One weekend day per week is required
  • Load delivery vans and safely deliver Amazon packages to customers
  • Drive, walk, climb stairs, and navigate driveways in all weather conditions
  • Follow all company and Amazon safety procedures on and off the road
  • Use handheld technology for GPS navigation, delivery scanning, and route management
  • Provide outstanding customer service with a positive, team-oriented attitude
  • Perform daily vehicle inspections before and after each route
  • Safely operate a delivery van weighing up to 10,000 lbs.

Qualifications

  • No previous delivery experience required
  • Paid training provided
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Valid driver's license required (CDL not required)
  • Must have a clean driving record with at least 2 years of driving experience
  • Must be at least 21 years old for insurance purposes
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull packages weighing up to 50 lbs., with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Ability to enter and exit a delivery van repeatedly throughout the day
  • Must be able to read and communicate in English for safety and operational purposes

Work Environment

  • Routes may vary daily based on customer demand, traffic, weather, and road conditions
  • Delivery associates spend the majority of the day driving, walking, climbing stairs, and delivering packages outdoors
  • Candidates should be comfortable working in all weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and snow
  • Daily schedules may vary slightly depending on operational needs
