Job description

The Safety Engagement Operations Manager brings Amazon's safety strategy to life, standardizing engagement frameworks, shaping a unified safety narrative, and scaling initiatives that reach WHS, Operations, and field leadership across global operations. This role advances WHS toward its goal of becoming the global benchmark for safety excellence.
The WHS Health & Safety team is seeking an experienced leader to deliver safety initiatives that deliver content and insights to thousands of safety professionals worldwide. This leader will design and execute global strategies that embed safety principles across every Amazon environment, community, and geography


This role partners with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Legal, PXT, and PR to drive alignment. The leader defines outcome-based goal frameworks, measures results, and invents and simplifies processes to drive continuous improvement. Success in this role requires balancing strategic thinking with hands-on delivery, building trust across multiple organizational levels, and translating business requirements into actionable outcomes.

The leader owns timelines, coordinates resources across distributed teams, and holds deliverables to a high-quality bar. This is a direct opportunity to shape how Amazon approaches safety engagement globally.

Engagement: Drive awareness and commitment to safety initiatives through effective content strategies
