Job description

Amazon Advertising Specialist
Full-time | Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm EST | Bryan, OH (On-site, Hybrid, or Remote) | $60,000 - $65,000 per year
Overview
Doc's Diesel is a fast-growing distributor of diesel and automotive replacement parts, operating a large Amazon catalog of several thousand SKUs. We are scaling aggressively and hiring an Amazon Advertising Specialist to take full ownership of advertising performance across the account.
This is a hands-on strategy and execution role, not a people-management position. You will run the campaigns, interpret the data, make the decisions, and be accountable for the results.
Doc's is in a true scaling phase. We are building an omnichannel auto parts brand with ambition, speed, and high standards. That means we need builders - people who take ownership, move fast, solve problems, and want to help shape where the company goes next.
This is a strong fit for someone who wants responsibility, visible impact, and the chance to grow inside a business that is aiming much bigger.
Key Responsibilities
  • Own end-to-end Amazon Advertising performance against sales and profit targets, with TACOS as a primary measure of success
  • Build, launch, manage, and optimize campaigns across Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, Sponsored Brands Video, and Sponsored Display, expanding into DSP as the account scales
  • Lead keyword and search-term research, campaign architecture, targeting, bid management, budget allocation, and placement optimization
  • Develop and apply a repeatable process for taking new products from launch to maturity
  • Identify and eliminate wasted spend while protecting sales momentum
  • Recommend new catalog items and product opportunities that strengthen advertising performance and close gaps in the assortment
  • Assess the listing and catalog factors that influence ad performance (pricing, reviews, conversion rate, Buy Box, titles, imagery, and content) and flag issues for resolution
  • Deliver proactive, decision-ready reporting: performance versus goal, key changes, and next actions

Required Qualifications
  • 2-3 years of hands-on Amazon Advertising experience
  • Proven experience managing a large catalog (several Brands, thousand SKUs); auto parts experience strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated track record managing six figures or more in monthly ad spend, with results you can walk us through
  • Experience supporting stores generating eight figures or more in annual sales
  • Command of the full performance metric set: ACOS, ROAS, TACOS, CTR, CVR, CPC, impression share, organic rank, and profitability
  • Working knowledge of the P&L behind advertising, beyond the ad console
  • Proven Amazon DSP capability, or a clear roadmap to it
  • Strong use of advertising software and AI for campaign management, keyword work, and optimization.

What Success Looks Like
  • Advertising performance consistently tracks to sales and profit goals
  • TACOS is controlled and trending in the right direction
  • New products reach maturity faster through a proven, documented process
  • Wasted spend is steadily reduced without sacrificing sales
  • Leadership always knows where performance stands and what is being done next

The Ideal Candidate
  • Owns outcomes, not just activity - measures their own work in results and decisions, not hours logged or tasks checked off
  • Takes feedback and moves - adjusts fast when the data or the direction changes, without needing to relitigate the call
  • All in on Doc's - this is a full-focus role, and we want someone who's excited to put their energy here, not split across other commitments
  • Surfaces problems early - flags what's off before it becomes a bigger issue, rather than waiting to be asked
  • Stays ahead of the industry - keeps an eye on where the market and the trends are heading, so we're building toward what's next instead of catching up to it

OUR CORE VALUES
  • Can Do Attitude
  • Extreme Ownership
  • Customer Focused
  • No B.S.
  • We > Me

WHAT WE OFFER
  • Salary: $60,000-$65,000 per year
  • Insurance: Health, vision, dental, and life insurance - after 60 days of employment
  • Retirement: Simple IRA with 3% company match - after 60 days of employment
  • PTO: Vacation and sick time - after 60 days of employment
  • Bonus: No Entitlement Self-Funded Quarterly Incentive Program if goals met - after 90 days of employment
  • Opportunities for professional growth and development
