Job Title: Cloud DevOps Engineer - Senior Location: Downtown Washington D.C. (mostly client site with limited remote work options consistent with ATA's "Work from Anywhere" policy) Position Type: Full time/W-2 Experience: 10 years of related experience, with 3+ years in cloud engineering support Education: BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or equivalent field Clearance and Security: Active Secret clearance, or the ability to obtain a Secret clearance, required. Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship is required. SUMMARY This role supports the execution of complex, mission-critical aviation and national airspace initiatives within a large federal environment. The effort focuses on improving the safety, security, efficiency, and operational effectiveness of aviation systems through the delivery of modernized technology, data-driven capabilities, and enhanced program execution. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Includes the following: * Works independently or as a team member to provide infrastructure and engineering support for Cloud applications hosed in FAA Cloud Services.
* May operate on Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure clouds supported by FAA.
* Must be proficient in Terraform and/or Ansible to support cloud systems in Microsoft and Linux environments.
* Cloud Engineer will lead the team in the creation and maintenance of development, test and production environments with a goal of high availability, fault-tolerance and scalability.
* Responsible for implementing continuous integration and deployment of code to cloud hosted environments to accelerate development and reduce manual effort.
* Senior Engineer is considered a subject matter expert and may lead individuals assisting in the work.
* Client also stated a desire for experience with Terraform/Ansible. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
* 10 years of related experience, with 3+ years in cloud engineering support * BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or equivalent field KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES * Must be a US Citizen.
* This position requires an active Secret clearance or the ability to obtain a Secret clearance to be considered.
