About the Role
McKesson's Consumer Markets team is seeking a Senior Amazon Marketing Strategy Manager to help lead strategy and performance for our Amazon-dominant marketplace business. This role is ideal for a strategic, data-driven eCommerce leader with deep expertise in Amazon Advertising, Seller Central, marketplace growth strategy, and customer-facing business reviews.
This senior individual contributor will drive marketplace performance across assigned brands by translating data, platform insights, and market trends into clear strategies that improve growth, advertising efficiency, and brand visibility. The role partners closely with internal teams and brand stakeholders to shape marketplace strategy, optimize investments, and support scalable growth across the portfolio.
What You'll Do
  • Lead Amazon marketplace strategy for assigned brands, with a focus on revenue growth, advertising performance, and competitive positioning
  • Manage and optimize Amazon Advertising programs across Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, Sponsored Display, and DSP
  • Oversee key Seller Central activities, including catalog health, listing optimization, A+ Content, Brand Registry, and marketplace performance drivers
  • Translate data such as keyword trends, search performance, CPC, ROAS, and conversion metrics into actionable business recommendations
  • Manage and optimize a multi-million dollar advertising budget to improve return on investment and marketplace growth
  • Build testing roadmaps and support structured experimentation to improve performance over time
  • Lead customer-facing business reviews and QBRs, using data and storytelling to communicate performance insights, forecasts, and recommendations
  • Partner with analytics and cross-functional teams to support reporting, forecasting, variance analysis, and performance narratives
  • Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and category performance to identify opportunities and risks
  • Help establish scalable processes, clear accountability, and operational rigor across marketplace planning and execution

Basic Requirements
  • Degree or equivalent and typically requires 7+ years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 7+ years of professional experience in eCommerce, digital marketing, marketplace strategy, performance marketing, or related fields
  • 5+ years of digital marketing or eCommerce experience, including 3+ years supporting Amazon Marketplace / Amazon Advertising
  • Hands-on experience with Amazon Seller Central and Amazon Advertising
  • Experience managing marketplace performance strategy, advertising campaigns, or eCommerce growth initiatives
  • Experience analyzing performance metrics such as ROAS, CPC, conversion rate, keyword performance, and sales trends
  • Experience presenting recommendations and performance insights in customer-facing meetings, business reviews, or QBRs
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Skills/Experience
  • Experience managing large marketplace revenue portfolios and/or multi-million-dollar advertising budgets
  • Experience with A+ Content, Brand Registry, listing optimization, and marketplace algorithm performance
  • Experience with ad-tech and marketplace tools such as Perpetua, Pacvue, Quartile, or similar platforms
  • Experience across additional marketplaces such as Walmart Marketplace or Target Plus
  • Experience in healthcare, medical supplies, wellness, CPG, or private label categories
  • Experience building scalable processes, mechanisms, and operating models
  • Strong analytical and data storytelling skills with the ability to translate performance data into strategic action
  • Comfortable working in a lean, fast-paced, and high-visibility environment

Travel / In-Office / Physical Requirements
  • Travel: Approximately 5-10% for internal and customer meetings
  • Physical requirements: Ability to work at a computer and participate in virtual and in-person meetings
