Position Summary

J. J. Keller is hiring a Marketplace Strategist who will be responsible for managing and executing marketplace programs across assigned channels, with a primary focus on Amazon Seller Central and the 3P seller model, as well as expanding marketplace platforms. This hands-on role owns day-to-day marketplace operations, content execution, partner relationships, issue resolution, and cross-functional coordination required to achieve business objectives and revenue targets. 

The Marketplace Strategist serves as a key point of contact for assigned marketplace partners and collaborates closely with Customer Care, Order Entry, Distribution/Fulfillment, Finance, Product Management, Marketing, Compliance, and Technology teams to ensure successful marketplace performance and exceptional customer experience. 

This role is accountable for executing marketplace initiatives, monitoring channel performance, identifying operational improvements, supporting marketplace expansion efforts, and protecting the company's products and brand presence within assigned marketplaces. 

Job Responsibilities
  • Manage marketplace operations across Amazon Seller Central and other assigned 3P marketplace platforms, including listings, catalog health, fulfillment coordination, support cases, and account health.
  • Optimize product content, pricing, and channel positioning to improve visibility, conversion, sales performance, and B2B opportunities.
  • Monitor marketplace performance, analyze results, and provide reporting, insights, and recommendations to support data-driven decisions.
  • Support marketplace advertising initiatives, including Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, and Display campaigns.
  • Protect brand presence by monitoring unauthorized sellers, copycat listings, trademark misuse, pricing inconsistencies, and policy compliance concerns.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and marketplace partners to resolve issues, support program onboarding, improve processes, and stay current on marketplace changes. 
Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered

Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in marketplace management
  • Hands-on experience with Amazon Seller Central (required); Walmart Seller Center or other marketplace platforms (preferred)
  • Familiarity with marketplace advertising (Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, Amazon DSP)
  • Experience with marketplace tools such as Jungle Scout, Rithum/ChannelAdvisor, or similar
  • Knowledge of PIM systems for product content management
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve business objectives through cross-functional collaboration and operational execution
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis) and marketplace analytics tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to collaborate across all organizational levels
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with brand protection, unauthorized seller management, or marketplace compliance
  • Exposure to B2B marketplaces or B2B e-commerce environments 
Physical Requirements

Work is performed primarily in a standard office environment. Work involves operation of personal computer equipment for extended periods of time.
