Job description

Amazon LEO is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world.
Export Control Requirement
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S

as a refugee or granted asylum.
Key job responsibilities
As a Mission Operations Support Engineer, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operational health and performance of the LEO satellite constellation. You will perform on-console troubleshooting, monitor fleet telemetry, execute operational procedures, and respond to anomalies in real-time. Your primary focus will be ensuring continuous operational excellence through hands-on fleet management and rapid issue resolution.
You will monitor satellite health and status, execute routine operational tasks and procedures, troubleshoot anomalies as they arise, and coordinate with engineering teams to resolve issues

You will participate in shift rotations to provide 24/7 operational support, maintain operational documentation and runbooks, and identify opportunities for process improvements based on operational experience.
The ideal candidate will be detail oriented, have strong troubleshooting skills, able to remain calm under pressure, and capable of making sound operational decisions quickly. You should have foundational knowledge in space systems or related technical domains and be comfortable working in a fast-paced operational environment.
A day in the life
You will work on-console, monitoring the health and performance of the leo satellite constellation. You will execute operational procedures, respond to alerts and anomalies, and coordinate with engineering teams when issues require escalation

You will maintain operational logs, update documentation based on lessons learned, and contribute to the continuous improvement of operational processes.
