About the Team:
Our team is responsible for building a Medical Coding solution, allowing clients to code events and/or drugs to industry standard dictionaries, allowing them to meet regulatory requirements. This solution has been helping clients with their clinical trials for over 15 years.
Who we're looking for:
An engineer who is passionate about application development! Your primary responsibilities will include hands-on development of Medidata's software applications with C#/.NET, and Amazon Web Services (React/TypeScript is nice to have). You'll be an important part of a team building software for clinical trials, helping to prioritize, plan, and deliver what's needed for our Medical Coding solution. We use SQL and NoSQL DBs, serverless solutions like AWS' Lambdas, Github Actions for our build/deploy pipelines.
Responsibilities:
  • Write high-quality, maintainable code following best practices and design patterns.
  • Develop new features, enhancing application performance and scalability.
  • Collaborate with engineering managers and architects on technical decision-making for complex systems.
  • Collaborate with product, PMO, and QA teams to deliver high-quality software.
  • Review code and ensure best practices are followed, while improving our products.
  • Create clear, thorough documentation that sets up other teams for self-guided success.
  • Stay current with new technologies and apply them to improve our software offerings.
  • Follow Medidata's Standard Operating Procedures to ensure all software meets regulatory and company requirements.

Your Competencies:
Proficient in C#, JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and frameworks like ReactJS or AngularJS.
Experience with API development using REST and GraphQL.
Knowledge of AWS, including containerized or serverless applications.
Experience with relational databases (we use PostgresSQL).
Experience with non-relational database (we use MongoDB).
Familiarity with Micro Front-End (MFE) architecture.
Familiarity with CI/CD, automated testing, and debugging in service-oriented architectures (SOA).
3+ years of experience developing web applications.
Promote a culture of collaboration and communication within the team.
Experience working in a regulated environment or with clinical research processes is a plus.
Bachelor's degree in related field with around 5 years of related experience preferred.
As with all roles, Medidata sets ranges based on a number of factors including function, level, candidate expertise and experience, and geographic location.
The salary range for positions that will be physically based in the NYC Metro Area is $114,750-153,000.
The salary range for positions that will be physically based in the California Bay Area is $121,500-162,000.
The salary range for positions that will be physically based in the Boston Metro Area is $113,250-151,000.
The salary range for positions that will be physically based in Texas or Ohio is $101,250-135,000.
The salary range for positions that will be physically based in all other locations within the United States is $102,750-137,000.
Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Medidata provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a commission on the terms of applicable plan documents, and many of Medidata's non-sales positions are eligible for annual bonuses. Salary Pay Transparency
Compensation for the role will be commensurate with experience. The total expected compensation range will be between $114750 and $153000, representing the base salary (or annualized salary based on estimated hourly compensation) and target bonus.
