Job description

Amazon Leo is Amazon's low Earth orbit satellite broadband network. Its mission is to deliver fast, reliable internet to customers and communities around the world, and we've designed the system with the capacity, flexibility, and performance to serve a wide range of customers, from individualhouseholds to schools, hospitals, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in locations without reliable connectivity.
Export Control : This position requires that the candidate selected be a U.S. Citizen in order to comply with U.S

government-imposed requirements related to the nature of the work and/or where it will be performed.
This role complements the Enterprise Systems Architect. The Architect defines target-state architecture, integration principles, standards, and governance guardrails. You'll design and lead the operating model that enables our teams to move faster, reduce complexity, and maintain production stability across our global satellite broadband network -serving households, schools, hospitals, and organizations worldwide.
The ideal candidate has strong judgment, deep experience leading enterprise software delivery, and a track record of improving execution in complex environments

You may bring depth in SAP, Oracle, or another Tier-1 ERP ecosystem. We are looking for a leader who knows how to bring order to complex enterprise delivery, improve cycle times, reduce rework, raise engineering quality, standardize code and delivery practices across internal and SI teams, and scale mechanisms that last.
Key job responsibilities
Define and operationalize the enterprise software delivery model across ERP and adjacent platforms, establishing software development lifecycle standards, engineering quality gates, release controls, and change management mechanisms that improve delivery speed while protecting production stability.
Build mechanisms to reduce cycle time from intake to production by clarifying requirements, defining acceptance criteria, managing dependencies, sequencing work effectively, and strengthening execution discipline across teams.
Standardize release management and modernize DevOps practices across enterprise systems, including deployment planning, cutover readiness, rollback procedures, CI/CD approaches, automated testing, transport controls, and production-readiness mechanisms.
Establish and enforce engineering standards for code development, naming conventions, modularity, documentation, testing evidence, code review, and support readiness across internal teams and systems integrator partners, ensuring consistency and maintainability.
Partner with the Enterprise Systems Architect to translate architecture standards, clean-core principles, and reusable patterns into daily engineering practice, while designing IT General Controls that integrate naturally into delivery workflows rather than functioning as separate compliance exercises.
A day in the life
In this role, you'll collaborate across architecture, engineering, product, business, audit, security, and operations teams to transform how enterprise systems are delivered. One day you might review release readiness for a major cross-functional program; the next, you could work with teams to eliminate cycle time bottlenecks, establish code standards across internal and partner teams, or simplify environment dependencies

You'll also assess whether control evidence flows naturally through your operating model or still relies on manual workarounds. Your focus is building durable systems of execution that enable teams to move faster with greater clarity and fewer surprises.
