Your role within the team

Zesty Paws is seeking an Amazon Manager to oversee and manage all aspects of the e‑commerce strategy across Amazon North America for our pet nutrition brand, Zesty Paws.

Reporting directly to the Ecommerce Director, this position is the Amazon team leader who owns the P&L, project management governance of processes and workflow of all Amazon listings, optimizations, and promotional initiatives. This person is accountable for the eCommerce process from start to finish with their team (of 3 coordinators) to ensure the timely and orderly flow of all Amazon and promotion‑based deliverables.

Duties and responsibilitiesAmazon Business & P&L Ownership
  • Own the Amazon business and six‑figure P&L, with responsibility for revenue, gross margin, contribution profit, advertising efficiency, and overall channel profitability.
  • Develop annual, quarterly, and monthly Amazon business plans designed to meet or exceed revenue and profit budget targets.
  • Establish and monitor channel KPIs, identifying opportunities, risks, and corrective actions to consistently improve performance.
  • Own forecasting, budgeting, promotional planning, and financial reporting for the Amazon channel.
  • Analyze sales, profitability, advertising spend, traffic, conversion, inventory, and customer metrics to make informed business decisions.
  • Translate Amazon performance data into clear business insights and actionable recommendations for senior management.
  • Identify opportunities to increase revenue while protecting and improving margins.
Team Leadership & Performance Management
  • Lead a highly effective, innovative, results‑driven team that understands how their actions correlate to vital project and business indicators.

  • Support and drive the strategy for Amazon content, including product detail pages, enhanced content, imagery, copy, keywords, merchandising, and overall brand presentation.
  • Continuously optimize content based on performance data, customer insights, search behavior, competitive analysis, and marketplace best practices.
  • Ensure Amazon brand representation is consistent, compelling, differentiated, and aligned with broader company positioning.
  • Partner with creative, brand, social, and marketing teams to develop compelling customer‑facing assets.
  • Use customer reviews, ratings, Q&A, feedback, and other forms of social proof to identify opportunities to improve conversion and customer experience.

Cross‑Functional Leadership

Inventory and Operations Readiness
  • Partner with Logistics and Operations to maintain appropriate inventory levels and minimize stockouts, excess inventory, and lost sales opportunities.
  • Incorporate inventory position, lead times, demand forecasts, and promotional calendars into Amazon growth plans.
  • Monitor operational health and proactively identify issues that may impact sales, profitability, customer experience, or account performance.
  • Ensure products remain retail‑ready and that listings, pricing, inventory, fulfillment, and promotional activity are aligned.
  • Develop contingency plans for supply constraints, unexpected demand shifts, marketplace disruptions, and other business risks.
Analytics & Business Intelligence
  • Analyze business performance at the SKU, product, campaign, category, and channel levels.
