The Opportunity

CACI is seeking a Mid-level Full-Stack Software Developer to join our CNRFC N6 Enterprise Application Innovation team. Our contract provides end-to-end lifecycle support for U.S. Navy Reserve business systems, including full-stack web/mobile-responsive development, SharePoint knowledge management and development, machine learning, date warehouse administration, desktop/server administration, networking, and AWS cloud infrastructure support. Notable systems and applications within our team's area of responsibility include the Navy Reserve Homeport (NRH), Reserve Enterprise Application Locker (REAL), Reserve Force Manpower Tools (RFMT), and the Navy Reserve Data Warehouse (NRDW), each maintained within Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure cloud platforms. Our systems and applications provide comprehensive support to the U.S. Navy Reserve Force, serving over 75,000 personnel comprised of both drilling and inactive Reservists, the Active Reserve (TAR) component, and operational partners.

As a software developer on the team, you will work in collaboration with project and technical managers, analysts, testers, and other software engineers and developers to design, develop, and deploy web-based business systems in support of the U.S. Navy Reserve.

Responsibilities
  • Develop end-to-end features by building responsive user interfaces in React and secure back-end services in ASP.NET

  • Design and develop database layers utilizing Entity Framework Core to interface efficiently with SQL Server

  • Build and deploy applications with automated CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps to deliver code smoothly to staging and production environments

  • Optimize application performance across the entire stack, from front-end React components to back-end SQL query tuning

  • Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, including providing daily standup updates, estimating story points during sprint planning and demonstrating iteration accomplishments during sprint demo/retrospectives

  • Conduct constructive code reviews to maintain high standards of code quality, security and maintainability

  • Write automated tests using frameworks like xUnit/NUnit, Vitest or React Testing Library

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to debug complex issues and to address technical debt and production bottlenecks

  • Mentor junior team members while stepping up to lead feature initiatives independently

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, Information Technology or Software Engineering; alternatively, the applicant must possess an active certification in one of the following: Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP), GIAC Cloud Security Essentials (GCLD) or GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC)

  • Five (5) years of experience developing for ASP.NET, React, Node.js and relational databases

  • SECRET-level security clearance

  • CompTIA Security+ certification (or equivalent) or the ability to achieve within six (6) months of hire

  • Experience developing in C#, JSX (or Angular Templates), JavaScript and T-SQL

  • Experience in the following: .NET (C#), ASP.NET, JavaScript, Node, React, MS SQL Server

  • Practical knowledge of software design patterns

  • Experience with project management and issue-tracking systems (Azure DevOps, GitLab, Jira)

  • Experience with version control systems (preferably Git)

  • Ability to manage competing priorities and drive multiple concurrent projects to successful completion

  • Mature understanding of business requirements and IT strategies

  • Ability to adapt quickly to an existing, complex environment

  • Strategic understanding of business requirements and IT strategies

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • AWS, Azure and/or SaaS-based development experience

Desired:

  • Experience utilizing AI coding and development assistants (Claude Code, Microsoft CoPilot, MCP servers)

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$75,200-$158,100
