Amazon is inventing at the frontier of computing - designing custom chips that power cloud infrastructure and AI workloads at unprecedented scale. We're seeking a high-judgment communications professional to join our team to tell that story.
For over a decade, Amazon has designed custom chips that have transformed cloud computing and artificial intelligence. What began with the 2015 acquisition of Annapurna Labs has grown into a $10+ billion business

Today, Graviton processors run applications for 90% of AWS's largest customers and Trainium chips train frontier AI models including one of the world's largest AI supercomputers.
As PR Manager for Chips, you'll shape how customers, media, and the industry understand Amazon's leadership in semiconductor design and advanced computing hardware. You'll translate chip architecture breakthroughs and large-scale deployments into clear, credible stories-from major product launches to customer wins to technical innovations.
The ideal candidate will have experience building proactive PR programs in deeply technical domains; navigating complex, multi-stakeholder environments; and translating hardware R&D into accessible narratives. You'll leverage earned, owned, and social media to amplify our chip innovations while maintaining the technical credibility essential in semiconductor and hardware communications

Being flexible in managing ambiguity as priorities shift-from product launches to competitive positioning to customer announcements-will be key.
Key job responsibilities
- Partner closely with chip architects, engineers, and business leaders on product launches, strategic announcements, and thought leadership
- Prepare engineers as credible spokespeople who can represent our work externally
- Work across Amazon and AWS communications teams to coordinate messaging and amplify our hardware story
- Build proactive media strategies that showcase customer impact and technical differentiation

This role is part of the communications team supporting Amazon's investments in foundational AI models, custom silicon, and quantum computing, within Amazon's Global Communications and Community Impact organization.
