Job description

Amazon's Worldwide Grocery Stores Tech (WWGST) Foundations org is looking for a passionate and innovative Systems Development Engineer to help tackle a diverse landscape of technical challenges that keeps the grocery business running. You will work on the most complex projects that will deliver innovative technical advancements for the Whole Foods Market.
Key job responsibilities
- Develop, deploy, and maintain reliable distributed solutions that operate at Amazon scale using core technologies including Java, ASP.NET, C/C#, Windows, Linux, and AWS services.
- Solve complex, novel technical challenges on a daily basis while collaborating with cross-functional teams across Amazon and Whole Foods Market.
- Drive innovation and redefine industry standards through the development of scalable solutions that impact customers and operations.
- Contribute to continuous learning and growth in a dynamic environment that prioritizes both technical excellence and positive team culture.
- Support our Higher Purpose of Nourishing People and the Planet through meaningful technical contributions that create lasting impact.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- 5+ years of building production software experience
- Experience with full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
- 5+ years of high level programming (Java, .Net, C# etc.) experience, or Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, automation engineering, or equivalent
- Experience in Linux OS and network troubleshooting, or experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems and experience in any Bigdata architecture
- 3+ years of partnering with cross functional teams experience
- Experience working in a fast-paced and highly cross-functional organization
- Experience communicating and delivering presentations to customers, stakeholders, and/or teammates
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience working with windows server technologies
- Knowledge of database systems and SQL
- Knowledge of networking protocols such as HTTP(S), DNS, and TCP/IP
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field
- Experience in object-oriented design and implementation skills, preferably on Windows or Unix/Linux platform

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
