Job description

Intelligence & Industrialization (I&I) is a functional team that provides data analytics, business intelligence, and software configuration support to business users within Global Supply Chain and Transportation Procurement (GSCTP) and Global Mile - Amazon Customs & Trade (ACT).
ACT is an expanding business unit under worldwide operations for Customs Brokerage operations. Customs brokerage involves the coordination of a complex network of sellers, shippers, logistics service providers (LSP), compliance, and government authorities to facilitate clearance of goods for cross-border transportation. Timely submission of documents and coordinating with customs agents to ensure hassle free clearance of shipments is a crucial step in the logistics process to ensure on-time delivery of product to our customers.
As a BIE II, you will support analysis, improvement and creation of metrics and dashboards for ACT stakeholders

You will join a team that insists on highest engineering standards and work with internal customers at all levels of the organization - Operations, Product, Finance, Technology, and Leadership - across multiple geo's (US, EU, CN).
A successful candidate should be able to communicate effectively in working with business owners to develop and define key business questions, and build data sets that answer those questions. You should be expert at designing and implementing stable, scalable, low cost ETL pipelines and support analysis, improvement, and creation of metrics and dashboards.
Key job responsibilities
- Partner with internal stakeholders across multiple teams, gathering requirements and delivering complete solutions
- Conduct deep dive investigations into operations execution and business problems, identify opportunities, and lead or support implementation (role varies by opportunity).
- Develop queries and visualizations for ad-hoc requests and projects, as well as ongoing reporting.
- Collaborate with team members on reporting datasets; review and raise code reviews (PL/SQL and Python); successful candidate should have experience with Amazon's internal code repositories.
- Working with technology and analytics teams to support the development of tools, automation, and dashboards.
- Communicating with and supporting various internal stakeholders and external audiences.
