Job description

Senior Buyer and Brand Partnerships (The Sports and Wellness Group LLC dba Sportique) (Tiburon, CA): Manage the end-to-end buying process for a portfolio of retail and agency brands - ensuring PO placement, accurate forecasting and timely execution of replenishment for both the DTC channel and Amazon. Execute merchandising tasks including assortment refreshes, curation updates and implementing promotions. Identify listing gaps and collaborate with design and content for optimizations.

Handle newness tracking and content queues via Asana; communicate fixes and follow-ups across internal stakeholders. Monitor aged inventory tracking and execute on SKU end-of-life strategies. Manage the day-to-day Amazon account management and merchandising execution for a portfolio of fashion accessory, lifestyle, beauty and home brands.

Own the workflow for assortment updates, promotion implementations, pricing executions and creative optimizations across each brand’s Amazon business (Seller Central or Vendor Central US, CA and UK). Manage team execution of Amazon creative assets (A+ content, storefronts, PDPs) - translating brand briefs into deliverables with the design and content team. Support partner relationships through timely reporting, troubleshooting and hands-on campaign and catalog management.

Coordinate task queue across shared services team to meet deadlines for both retail and agency partners. Manage and execute brand budgets. Drive Amazon portfolio growth through outbound brand outreach, domestic and international tradeshow attendance and day-to-day pipeline management.

Own partner onboarding and relationship execution. Coordinate pricing negotiations, product set-up and queue up workflow with shared services to ensure smooth brand launches. Support pitch deck creation and data pulls to inform proposals, and act as main liaison for partner queries and operational needs.

Ensure seamless integration of new brands into the business and serve as primary point of contact for partner needs and issue resolution. In order to complete the abovementioned tasks, the following skills and experience are required: Experience developing brand and product strategies to scale brands on Amazon and DTC, communicating impactful brand storytelling and implementing thoughtful product positioning - tailored for both the DTC and Amazon ecosystem. Experience with cross-functional leadership, aligning creative, merchandising, and performance marketing teams, while serving as a strategic liaison between clients and the internal services team.

Experience adapting brand and product strategies for international, multi-lingual audiences. Experience crafting, aligning and presenting compelling visual communication tools - such as brand proposals, pitch decks, and listing mockups to internal and external stakeholders. Experience marrying brand partners’ objectives with a consumer-focused mindset - integrating brand partners priorities with evolving market trends and consumer behavior.

Experience with retail math and Microsoft Excel, specifically PIVOT TABLES, Charts, VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, LEFT, HLOOKUP, CONCATENATE, CONDITIONAL FORMATTING, IFERROR, ROUND, COUNT, AVE, months cover, sales and stock forecasts, profit margin formulas (Open-to-Buy), and csv exports. Experience with branded buying within fashion categories, lifestyle, or beauty and wellness. International market exposure and global market experience - including launching and scaling international brands, and managing cross-border relationships and brand portfolios.

Experience managing and nurturing new and existing brand relationships (cross-cultural collaboration – international as well as domestic partners). Experience managing multi-currency pricing structures across international markets and marketplaces, including developing and reviewing price matrices, ensuring profitability and margin integrity are upheld by factoring in currency fluctuations, freight costs, platform fees and brand-specific variable. Requires a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Design, Fashion Merchandising or Marketing, or a closely related field, and at least two years of experience in Buying, Brand Management Merchandising, or related occupation.

Option to work from home is available. International travel required to New York, Paris, London, Las Vegas, Hong Kong (15-20%). Salary: $98,322 - $120,000/year.
