We're hiring engineers to design cost-effective solutions for our fulfillment and distribution systems.
You will partner with internal and external teams to develop standards and specifications for complex material handling systems. As the subject matter expert, you will guide design teams and stakeholders from concept through installation, commissioning, and launch.

- Own multiple standards and specifications simultaneously.
- Design high-quality, cost-effective fulfillment and distribution solutions.
- Serve as technical expert to design teams and stakeholders.
- Ensure designs meet requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
- Verify successful installation, commissioning, and launch of systems.
- Your work will directly influence the quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness of Amazon's fulfillment infrastructure.

About the team
You will work alongside a team of highly skilled and highly engaged engineers in a fast-paced and often ambiguous environment. As the subject matter experts, our team supports dozens of projects and initiatives each year. You will be challenged; you will learn; you will work on high impact initiatives; you will grow.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of design & innovation, research & development work experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a foreign equivalent
- Experience with design & innovation and research & development
- Experience in management of engineering design projects
- Experience using business or technical software like MS Excel, MS Project, and CAD software
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of specialty (with progressive responsibility) experience
- Master's degree in Engineering (any domain), Operations, Business Administration, or a related field
- Knowledge of concepts like system architecture, optimization, system dynamics, system analysis, statistical analysis, reliability analysis, electronic system design, and decision making
- Experience with complex automated material handling equipment, packaging technologies, and systems and high-speed manufacturing
- Experience with design-in-safety

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
