We are seeking a passionate and self-motivated individual with proven experience in growing and scaling Amazon ecommerce businesses. We are looking for a leader with in-depth technical Amazon knowledge and experience, as well as keen understanding of ecommerce trends and innovations across Amazon and Amazon Advertising. The ideal candidate is expected to both operate as a hands-on “doer”, and excel in developing, leading, and executing long term strategy. The ideal candidate should be skilled at effectively managing internal and external teams and partners to achieve business objectives, the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented professional environment, and be excited by a challenge.


The Senior Director of eCommerce for Amazon is responsible for collaborating cross-functionally to manage and direct all aspects of the Amazon ecommerce business. The ideal candidate will know that a successful Amazon business touches virtually all functional areas of the business - this includes developing long term growth strategies, planning & forecasting, data analytics, optimizing content, developing promotion plans, overseeing advertising campaigns, monitoring performance analytics, optimizing conversion, growing traffic, and providing product development insights, among other things.

The ideal candidate will be an integral part of the wholesale eCommerce team and will report to the SVP of Ecommerce.


Responsibilities

  • Leadership: Effectively align and integrate Amazon business strategies with overall strategic sales channel goals. Lead U.S. and Canada Amazon eCommerce strategy, roadmap, budgets, planning, and operational requirements, as well as leading successful product launches.
  • Account Management: Be the primary face and liaison between Amazon and Loloi. Deliver favorable business outcomes through annual and ad hoc negotiation cycles, cost/price change discussions, and joint business planning.
  • Build Brand Equity: Orchestrate all aspects of a strategic ecommerce plan. Combine existing expertise in sales, marketing, operations, and management to deliver superior brand and shopping experience for all customers. Mine product reviews for insights and maintain high product ratings. Collaborate cross functional with the Quality and Marketing teams to surface and address customer pain points.
  • Drive Traffic/Advertising: Lead the overarching strategy and relationship with external advertising partners to optimize advertising performance, reduce wasted ad spend, monitor key advertising KPIs. Push new campaigns, support new product launches, and discover new keywords. Formulate plan, then delegate action items to the appropriate teams with guidance from external partners.
  • Optimize for Conversion: Verify every listing is optimized, keep ongoing A+ and brand store content developing. Review brand registry and analytics. Check back-end search terms are properly optimized and front facing merchandising copy and graphics will acquire customers. Own and manage Internet marketing solutions, SEO/Keywords, and other monitoring methodologies and analytics.
  • Operations: Partner closely with internal, Amazon, and carrier operations teams to drive on time shipment (EXSD), delivery estimate accuracy (DEA), and speed performance.
  • Communication Focus: Be an expert communicator and facilitator. Proactively delegate down and communicate up to senior leadership.
  • Syndication: Be a key component in developing the effective planning and execution of an ecommerce strategy for syndication, working cross-functionally with teams to ensure QA and timely publishing of all web content.
  • Continuous Improvement/Development: Provide thought leadership, innovation and process optimization initiatives such as implementing ecommerce software and other industry best practices. Identify new areas of Ecommerce opportunities beyond current offerings.
  • Product Compliance: Facilitate the flow and management of necessary compliance documentation to ensure that regulated products remain live and in good standing.
  • Forecasting: Develop and forecast sales, KPI targets, and inventory to meet our financial and operational goals.
  • Performance Reporting/Analytics: Closely monitor plan performance and drive any necessary changes to meet or exceed targets. Report weekly to the Executive team on prior week’s performance metrics that include key KPI targets. Report on business trends and provide insights and recommendations to senior management team on how to further maximize results for our eCommerce business. Proven ability to interpret data and draw conclusions to implement new ecommerce strategies.
  • Time Management: Demonstrate strong business judgment and decision-making skills; ability to identify, prioritize, and articulate highest impact initiatives.


Experience, Skills, & Ability Requirements

  • 5-10+ years in Amazon 1P (vendor central) account management for Amazon US and Canada with an understanding of the 3P marketplace
  • Proven success growing and scaling large and complex Amazon businesses
  • Strong understanding and experience in driving full-funnel Amazon advertising (Streaming, DSP, Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, and Sponsored Display) strategies, budgets, and campaigns
  • Deep proficiency in Vendor Central
  • Experience managing an Amazon P&L, with firm grasp of Amazon accounting and financials.
  • Deep Understanding of Amazon analytics and Amazon data analytics tools
  • Experience leading a team, setting team goals, and collaborating cross functionally to deliver results.
  • Exceptional communication skills and a collaborative cross functional leadership style
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguity and in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
