Job description

H2 Logistics Fleet and Maintenance Coordinator Role Description

As a Fleet and Maintenance Coordinator for our Delivery Service Partner, H2 Logistics, working with Amazon, you will be primarily responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of fleet maintenance and repair activities to ensure the optimal performance and safety of our delivery vehicles. In addition, you will also support customer and company leased property damage assessments and repair.

You will play a key role in maintaining the reliability and efficiency of our fleet and facilities to support the timely and secure delivery of packages to customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive fleet maintenance program to ensure the proper upkeep and servicing of all delivery vehicles.
  • Coordinate and schedule routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs for the fleet in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor vehicle maintenance records and track service history to identify trends and proactively address potential issues.
  • Work closely with mechanics, technicians, and external service providers to facilitate timely and cost-effective repairs.
  • Manage inventory of spare parts, tools, and supplies to support maintenance operations and minimize downtime.
  • Conduct regular inspections of vehicles to identify maintenance needs and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Collaborate with operations team to prioritize vehicle servicing based on operational needs and delivery schedules.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, costs, and performance metrics for reporting and analysis.
  • Implement strategies to improve fleet efficiency, reduce maintenance costs, and increase overall reliability.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations related to fleet maintenance activities.
  • Evaluate property damage sustained to customer property or company-owned/leased property, coordinate repairs with external vendors, or complete repair within personal capabilities
  • Supporting drivers with on-road vehicle issues, including but not limited to fluid replacement, towing, tire changes, etc.
  • Maintaining eligibility to deliver packages for company

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in automotive maintenance is a plus.
  • Proven experience in fleet maintenance or automotive repair, preferably in a fast-paced delivery or logistics environment.
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle systems, diagnostics, and repair procedures.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members and external partners.
  • Proficiency in using fleet management software and tools for maintenance tracking and reporting.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a dynamic work environment.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
