About the Team
The AMXL Operations Center (XLOC) Business Analytics team drives operational excellence across the Amazon Extra Large network by delivering strategic, data-driven solutions. We partner with AMXL operations leaders to enable smarter decisions through QuickSight dashboard development, advanced SQL and Python analytics, VBA and process automation, and deep-dive analysis that directly improves customer experience. This is an exciting opportunity to join a new team in a huge growth area for Amazon.
The Role
We are looking for a Data and Reporting Analyst who thrives in ambiguous, fast-paced environments and has a passion for turning complex data into clear, actionable insights/reporting. In this role, you will design and maintain QuickSight dashboards that give operations leaders real-time visibility into network performance, develop automated data pipelines and workflows that eliminate manual reporting burden, and build reusable tools and solutions that scale across the AMXL organization. You will translate business requirements into technical deliverables - owning your solutions from initial scoping through deployment and ongoing maintenance.
Key job responsibilities
- Write and maintain advanced SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and scheduled reporting jobs that support recurring business needs
- Design and automate Excel-based reporting templates using VBA to reduce manual effort and ensuring consistent, on-time delivery
- Build, maintain, and continuously improve QuickSight dashboards that give operations leaders visibility into AMXL network performance
- Identify manual, repetitive reporting workflows and engineer automated solutions using Python or VBA to eliminate recurring toil
- Create and maintain Andes tables to support scalable, reliable data pipelines and downstream reporting needs
- Develop a deep understanding of AMXL backend data infrastructure - including AWS Redshift clusters,Andes tables, and global performance reporting tables - to build reliable, scalable solutions
- Partner with the AMXL Business Intelligence team on joint initiatives, shared data products, and cross-functional reporting efforts
- Work within tight deadlines to meet critical business needs; dive deep into large datasets to uncover trends, identify root causes for performance misses, and deliver clear, actionable findings to stakeholders
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma, or equivalent
- 1+ years logistics or related experience
- MS Office experience, including experience with intermediate level in Excel (v-lookup, pivot tables, etc.)
- Experience leading process improvement initiatives across teams
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Transportation, or Technical related field from an accredited
- university
- 3+ years of work experience in logistics/transportation industry
- Basic knowledge of SQL and willingness to learn more
- Experience writing VBA and using macros in Microsoft Excel
- Demonstrated experience pulling and analyzing data to aid in root cause identification and drive
- process. improvement initiatives across the network
- Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
