Job description

Amazon seeks a highly effective Senior Financial Analyst to join the Amazon Customer Service Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team to play a key role in business support. Amazon Customer Service serves as the steward of Customer Obsession across Amazon, with a mission to be unrelenting customer advocates by providing automated and human support while using customer signals to eliminate upstream defects. In this role, you will partner with Finance leaders across the Amazon CS organization to support transformative Customer Service initiatives, joining one of the most customer-obsessed finance teams at Amazon.
Amazon Customer Service is focused on materially improving the customer experience while simplifying business operations. This transformation requires making step changes in how we serve customers, thinking differently about legacy approaches that no longer serve us, running fast with a sense of urgency, and intensifying focus on critical topics that will deliver the most material improvements to customer experience.
As a member of this team, you will leverage analytical, technical, and communication skills to drive worldwide projects, engineer ad-hoc financial analyses, support business planning, and implement ideas for process improvement. The ideal candidate will have a growth mindset, be comfortable with healthy respectful debate, and be skilled at earning trust across both finance and business teams.
Key job responsibilities
• Maintain and improve financial processes to ensure data integrity, efficient analyses, and insightful analysis
• Collaborate with key stakeholders worldwide to drive global standardization of metric and reporting definitions
• Manage and develop scalable financial tools that align and simplify monthly business reviews, annual planning, and forecasting processes
• Sourcing, analyzing, and reporting quantitative data; perform ad-hoc analyses
About the team
Amazon Customer Service Finance is part of the WW Amazon Stores Finance organization. We are the Amazon Stores' financial partners and lead decision support, planning, analysis, and reporting the WW Stores organization. Our job is to partner with the business to plan, analyze, measure, and grow our global business. We contribute to business decisions by providing insightful analysis of all metrics and processes, inventing new ones where needed and simplifying and automating wherever possible. We methodically establish, evaluate, and improve end-to-end processes, financial controls, and capital investment.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)
- 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- 3+ years of contributing to cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy experience
- 3+ years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of SQL and Excel at a moderate or advanced level
- Experience in a fast paced, dynamic organization
- Experience prioritizing and managing multiple responsibilities
- Experience in written and oral communication, including the ability to communicate with all levels in the organization (technical, business, executive)
- Experience working cross functionally across several teams
- Experience with analytical tools and ability to dive deep into metrics and reporting

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
