Job description

Build the self-service applications and scalable services that accelerate Amazon Advertising's sales operations - empowering sales teams and ad agencies to move faster by replacing manually intensive workflows with intelligent, automated tooling. This is an early-stage team being built from scratch with a startup mentality and a broad mandate to experiment and innovate.
The Advertising Sales Engineering team is at the forefront of Amazon Ads' growth, building technical solutions that enable internal sales executives and external ad agencies to deliver at scale. You'll own, design, and deliver highly scalable web applications and services that directly accelerate productivity across Amazon Advertising's sales organization. We follow Scrum, work like a startup, and collaborate across engineering, science, and product - with lots of opportunities to grow as the team scales.
Key job responsibilities
- Design, build, and deliver highly scalable web applications and services that accelerate sales operations across Amazon Advertising
- Own end-to-end feature delivery - from identifying problems and proposing solutions through implementation, testing, and production support
- Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and engineering peers to define requirements and deliver the right solutions for internal and external customers
- Build and operate self-service applications that replace manual workflows and drive measurable productivity improvements for sales teams and agencies
- Use performance metrics and measurement techniques to assess system health and drive continuous improvement
- Contribute to team growth by participating in design discussions, code reviews, and mentoring peers
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
