Job description

At Amazon Devices we build with AI first, this means that AI is not only a tool but the way we work. Documentation, Design, Code, and day to day tasks utilize AI to provide the quickest most efficient means of software delivery. We are seeking an AI First Software Builder to create services and applications to support the device Alarm Cloud.

You possess extensive experience building software. You should be immersed in AI IDEs and seek to use AI first when documenting, designing, and coding. After understanding context, a concise prompt should be your first consideration after a discussion around requirements.

Coupled with being driven by AI you should have deep code reviewing skills and the ability to identify and correct errors created by either tooling or other developers.
At devices, you will solve complex issues surrounding the delivery of messaging received and sent from the Alarm, Smart Lights, Amazon Sidewalk, and Amazon Alexa. You will work in partnership with the Alarm Team, Smart Lighting Team, the Cloud Guild, Product Management, and key leadership. You will build and generate software in Java and Golang utilizing AWS as your delivery environment.
Key job responsibilities:
Work across the organization to present and delivery high quality solutions quickly
Write high quality distributed system software for large scale applications, managing high TPS >10000/second
Work with product management and cross functional teams to provide technical solutions for desired user experiences
Work with other team members to architect and design approaches
Prototype new technology and evaluate technical feasibility
Take ownership of large components
Drive best practices and engineering excellence
