The Amazon Devices and Services team designs and engineers high-profile devices and consumer experiences including the best-selling Kindle family of products, offerings such as Amazon Photos and groundbreaking devices like Amazon Echo, Fire tablets, Amazon Fire TV, Echo Show, Echo Spot. How will you help us build software tooling to secure customer experiences and data?
The Proactive Security (ProSec) team is building the next generation of mission critical security systems to protect Amazon assets. These include standalone tools for security reviews (e.g., intake and data classification), paved paths (e.g., libraries for embedded systems) as well as integrating plugins in tools used by product teams

We experiment and build innovative tools to identify and address key customer pain points. Our customers are Amazon development teams, internal security teams, and Amazon's customers. Our engineers work directly with stakeholders, get close to customers' needs, and are empowered to take technical risks to build the best-in-class software with respect to quality, scale, and insights.

The technical foundation this team builds, helps keep all of Amazon Devices including business units (Alexa, FireTV, Kindle, Ring, etc.) secure.
We are looking for an experienced dynamic manager who has a passion to make internal business teams successful. The ideal candidate has deep technical experience, preferably in AWS technologies, strong verbal and written communication, and excels at balancing priorities between a near-term and long-term focus

Prior experience building preventive solutions (e.g., paved paths), driving their adoption, and extending builder tools to vend security guidance is strongly desired. They know how to position their team to meet consistent shifting demands of the business. We desire someone who is passionate about coaching, and helping engineers achieve their desired potential, while getting hands on with designs to shape the team's high scale systems.

- You will manage and mentor a high performing team of Software Development Engineers, Security Engineers and Technical Program Managers

Foster a collaborative environment, conduct performance reviews, and promote professional growth.
- You will define and drive the technical vision and roadmap for our Preventive Plugin Platform and experimental tooling workstream, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to align on requirements and priorities.
- You will review architecture design and oversee software development of highly scalable systems.
- You will communicate technical concepts, project status, and risk assessments to stakeholders at all levels, both technical and non-technical.
- You will ensure that security is integrated throughout the software development lifecycle, from design to deployment and promote continuous innovation to enhance the security, performance, and scalability of our cloud-based solutions.
