Job description

Job Title: Press Brake Operator 

Company: Accurate Fabrication, LLC 

Job Location: 2050 Constitution Ave, Hartford, WI 53027 

Pay: Hourly based on experience 

Job Type: Full-Time

Job Description: As a Press Brake Operator you would be responsible for setup and operation of Press brake bending machines, to process blanks into formed products. This work includes use of material handling equipment, selection and setup of tooling, part loading from incoming pallets of material, bending and handling the material, process checks and packaging of the product after the bending process to meet customer orders for quality conforming parts. 

Job Responsibilities:  

  • Read and follow instructions on job traveler 
  • Read and understand blueprints 
  • Use basic measure tools such as pins, caliper, tape measure, height gage 
  • Follow and document quality plan for inspection of parts 
  • Match incoming materials including types, thickness and finish to requirements on the job traveler, material tags 
  • Recognize defects in parts, not limited to bend location, bend angle , damage, missing features, not matching print. 
  • Select and setup tooling in press brakes. Maintain tooling and tooling storage. 
  • Handle parts for the process and package according to instructions  
  • Label parts with matching job label including quantity and next operation 
  • Operate press brake controls including loading programs, tooling selections, beam and gage dimensions to produce a part meeting specifications 
  • Maintain work areas and tooling to ensure a clean and safe environment this includes general cleaning and housekeeping.  

Skills/Qualifications: General part handling and use of tools. Use of material handling equipment such as work tables, forklift (as needed). Experience with press brake controls. Experience with inspeciton methods and tools. Process experience such as Amada, Safan or other applicable press control is desired.  Will train the right candidate based on experience. Attention to processes, print and process requirements, quality control and following instruction are important skills for success in this role.
