Extrusion Department Manager – Indianapolis, IN (Relocation provided)


We are seeking an experienced Extrusion Department Manager to lead an Indianapolis aluminum extrusion team. This position is responsible for day-to-day extrusion operations, employee development, safety, quality, productivity, and continuous improvement.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop extrusion employees and supervisors.
  • Promote a strong safety-first culture and ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Manage departmental budgets, schedules, staffing, and production resources.
  • Support employee training, cross-training, and performance development.
  • Identify opportunities to improve productivity, reduce costs, scrap, and downtime.
  • Partner with maintenance, engineering, supervisors, and other facilities to optimize workflow and capacity.
  • Ensure aluminum extrusion quality meets customer and company requirements.
  • Participate in hiring, project planning, and operational improvement initiatives.


Requirements

  • 5+ years of manufacturing experience.
  • 5+ years of aluminum extrusion experience.
  • 5+ years of leadership/management experience.
  • Strong understanding of extrusion processes and blueprint reading.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, leadership, and project management skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
