What is an alteration manager?

Alteration Managers are professionals who oversee and coordinate the operations of an alterations department, typically within a clothing store, tailor shop, or dry cleaner. They manage a team of tailors, seamstresses, and other staff, ensuring that garments are altered to meet customer specifications and quality standards. Their responsibilities include supervising fittings, managing workflow, maintaining inventory of materials, and delivering excellent customer service.
