As a mental health counselor at Alta Med Medical Center, you will:

• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify clients' mental health needs, utilizing standardized tools and interview techniques.
• Develop individualized treatment plans that are aligned with clients’ goals, regularly updating them to reflect ongoing progress and therapeutic goals.
• Provide evidence-based individual therapy using established modalities like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), tailored to meet each client's unique circumstances.
• Offer teletherapy options, ensuring access for clients who are unable to attend in-person sessions due to various challenges, including geographic distance or health concerns.
• Maintain comprehensive and timely documentation of client interactions, treatment plans, and progress reports that comply with ethical and regulatory standards.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and stay current with the latest best practices in mental health counseling.

Your clients will consist of diverse individuals facing a variety of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, PTSD, and life transitions. You will be tasked with providing compassionate care and creating a safe space for clients to explore their mental health concerns. Alta Med aims to cater to underserved populations, making your role crucial in bridging gaps in access to care.

• Must hold a current and valid state license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
• A master’s degree or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required.
• Exceptional communication skills are essential, as you will need to establish trust and rapport with clients from various backgrounds.
• Empathy, compassion, and a non-judgmental approach are crucial to supporting clients effectively.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to Manage competing priorities are vital for effective caseload management.

• Previous experience working in a community health clinic or similar setting is preferred, particularly with diverse or underserved populations.
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth platforms will be advantageous.
• Experience in crisis intervention and short-term therapeutic modalities will enhance your effectiveness in this role.

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and caseload. In addition to financial compensation, we offer:
