Job description

POSITION TITLE: Therapist/LPHA (Licensed)

DEPARTMENT: Casa Raphael

REPORTS TO: Clinical Supervisor

FLSA: Full-Time and Part-Time available, Non-Exempt

POSITION SUMMARY

Therapist/LPHA, in collaboration with the Director of Alcohol and Drug Services, Case Managers, and Substance Abuse Counselors, will be responsible for case management, mental health assessment, provide group and individual counseling and develop an individual treatment plan.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Client Treatment 80%

  • Develop, record, and monitor (weekly basis) client's Individual Treatment Plans to ensure progress toward client's treatment;
  • Conduct Mental Health screenings and assessments;
  • Facilitate co-occurring treatment groups;
  • Provide crisis intervention; and
  • Provide clinical support to alcohol and drug counselors.

Administration 10%

  • Maintain appropriate documentation regarding the client's progress, services received in individual resident case files; and
  • Coordinate and schedule appropriate client services with internal and external entities to meet clients' needs and treatment goals.

Reporting & Compliance 10%

  • Complete and submit time-sensitive reports to referring entities and/or agents; and
  • Ensure compliance with organization, contractual, local, state, and federal mandates, including confidentiality laws.

QUALIFICATIONS

Candidates must demonstrate the ability to follow policies and procedures as established in the Company's Employee Handbook. Candidates will also contribute to a positive work environment by behaving and communicating in a manner such that they get along with all constituent groups, co-workers, and management.

In addition, the education, experience, and other skills listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.

EDUCATION
  • Master's in Social Work, Counseling, or LCSW or MFT, required.
CERTIFICATIONS
  • CAARR and/or CAADAC certification preferred.
WORK EXPERIENCE
  • 3 - 5 years in case management, mental health, dual diagnosis, and substance abuse fields.
KEY SKILLS SET
  • Excellent verbal and written communication;
  • Bilingual skills of any language, particularly, Spanish, preferred;
  • Substance abuse treatment experience in a group setting, preferred;
  • Strong critical thinking when making a treatment plan; and
  • Strong ability to actively listen.
EQUIPMENT AND APPLICATIONS
  • High proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Clarity; and
  • Working knowledge of all standard office equipment.
