Job description

Bocca Lupo North Port is now seeking qualified applicants for the General Manager position. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your leadership skills, culinary knowledge, and passion for exceptional customer experiences. As the driving force behind the restaurant’s success, you will oversee staff management, ensure food quality and safety standards are met, and foster a welcoming environment for both guests and team members. Duties:

Responsibilities

  • Lead and motivate a diverse team of restaurant staff, including servers, cooks, bartenders, and support personnel to deliver outstanding service.
  • Oversee food preparation processes, ensuring adherence to quality standards, proper food handling, and safety regulations.
  • Manage daily restaurant operations including shift scheduling, inventory control, and cash handling procedures using Aloha POS.
  • Implement training and development programs to enhance staff skills in food service management, customer service, and food safety protocols.
  • Monitor restaurant performance metrics; control costs related to food production, labor, and supplies while maintaining high-quality service standards.
  • Ensure compliance with health regulations and safety standards across all areas of the restaurant, including kitchen management and food handling practices.
  • Coordinate with kitchen staff on food production and FOH operations to optimize efficiency and guest satisfaction.


Qualifications

  • Proven experience in restaurant management with supervising responsibilities in restaurants required.
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, culinary experience, and kitchen management practices.
  • Familiarity with Aloha POS; experience with cash handling is essential.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage inventory control, budgeting, and cost analysis within a food industry setting.
  • Excellent leadership skills with experience in staff training & development, interviewing candidates, and team management.
  • Background in food safety standards, hospitality best practices, and customer service excellence.

Bocca Lupo is Italian for mouth of the wolf. The Italians say, "in bocca al lupo" to express good luck. Pizza in America was born in coal fired ovens in New York's Little Italy. All of our pies are coal fired in an open mouth, high temperature oven we call "The Wolf." The 1200 degree coals bake our pies with a crispy-chewy crust and signature char.
