Job Description
As a Field Property Adjuster, you will play a critical role in helping customers recover from property losses by delivering exceptional claim service from first notice of loss through resolution. You will travel throughout the Atlanta market to inspect property damages, investigate coverage, prepare estimates, negotiate settlements, and guide customers through the claims process.
This role combines field inspections with virtual claim handling, requiring flexibility to assess losses in person and through virtual inspection technology. Using tools such as Xactimate, you'll evaluate damages related to weather, water, wind, and other property losses while providing a seamless customer experience.
You'll work independently while collaborating closely with your leadership team, peers, contractors, vendors, and customers. A company vehicle is provided for this designated field territory. The role offers significant autonomy, allowing you to manage your own schedule and daily routing while maintaining customer commitments and business expectations. Candidates must reside near Atlanta, GA.
Key Responsibilities
• Possesses a deep understanding of the content of all policy types written by the company
• Possesses strong estimating fundamentals in order to create or audit estimates of damages on 1st party homeowners' losses with complexity
• Builds mastered relationships with both internal and external customers across multiple lines
• Evaluates settlement alternatives by reviewing regulatory compliance and fair claims practices; makes decisions on best option
• Negotiates settlements, makes settlement payments and documents all activities in the most complex of files across multiple lines
As a requirement of employment, individuals who currently hold an active insurance license must terminate all existing appointments prior to onboarding and must not hold any outside appointments at any point during employment. Applicants seeking an adjuster role who also hold a resident producer license must formally surrender that license when instructed to by the licensing team. By proceeding with the application process, applicants acknowledge and accept these licensing requirements and agree to comply.
