Job Description
The Inside Auto Claims Adjuster is responsible for investigating basic and occasionally moderately complex auto insurance claims. This role may handle non-represented claims and requires evaluating coverage, determining liability, and negotiating settlements. The adjuster works directly with claimants, insureds, and other involved parties to ensure timely, accurate, and customer-focused claim resolution.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company standards throughout the claim lifecycle.
  • Investigate minor to moderately complex auto accidents and prepare clear, concise claim summaries.
  • Conduct recorded statements with claimants, insureds, and witnesses.
  • Evaluate auto claims to determine coverage, liability, and damages.
  • Negotiate and settle claims in alignment with established guidelines and best practices.
  • Maintain detailed and well-documented claim files, including notes, summaries, and decision rationale.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support efficient and customer-centric claim handling.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Preference for candidates residing in West zone states (PST/MST) to support team and business alignment.
  • 2+ years of prior claim handling experience preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with a demonstrated commitment to excellent customer service.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and operate in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail with solid critical-thinking and decision-making skills.
  • Comfortable using technology and learning claims-related software and tools.
  • This position is not available for California, Alaska, Washington, and Hawaii residents.

Notice of Licensing Requirement:
  • As a condition of employment, you may be expected to obtain an adjuster's license in multiple markets.
  • All required licenses must be obtained within 60 days of hire.
  • You must maintain all licensing required for your role. This includes any continuing education and/or other state-affiliated requirements for licensing renewal.
  • This role offers a $1,000 sign on bonus if you have an active adjuster license in TX, FL, or your resident state.
  • Current employees and former employees seeking rehire at Allstate or its affiliated companies are not eligible for this sign-on bonus.

Schedule:
  • Training Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00AM-4:45PM.
  • The hours of operation are Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with occasional rotational Saturdays. Shift assignments are confirmed following training completion.
