COVERAGE DATES

• Coverage Requested Due to Cross Credentialing
• Shifts Assigned Based on Facility Scheduling Needs
PATIENT INFORMATION
• Patient Demographics: All Ages
• Patient Volume/Census: Approximately 17,000 Annual ED Visits
• Admissions: Yes
• Case Mix: General Emergency Medicine; Medium Acuity
FACILITY INFORMATION
• No. of Beds in Department: 142 Beds
• EMR System: McKesson - Allscripts
• Office Equipment Available: Fully Equipped Emergency Department
• Specialty Backup Available: Over 27 Medical Specialties Including Women's Services, Behavioral Health, Inpatient and Outpatient Services
• Support Staff Available: 10 Hours of NP/PA Coverage Daily, 24 hours of physician coverage daily

REQUIRED PROCEDURES
• Evaluation and management of emergency medical conditions across all age groups
• Stabilization and treatment of medium acuity cases
• Coordination with specialty services as clinically indicated
JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Licenses: Active Tennessee Medical License
• Board: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine (Board Certification Preferred)
• DEA: Active Tennessee DEA Required
• Certifications: ACLS, ATLS, and PALS Required if Not ABEM Certified
• Experience: Prior Emergency Medicine Experience Preferred
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide comprehensive emergency medical care in a community hospital setting
• Manage patient flow in a 24-hour physician coverage model
• Collaborate with NP/PA providers and multidisciplinary staff
• Document all encounters accurately within McKesson - Allscripts EMR
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and quality standards
