Job description

The Miccosukee Tribe of Indians of Florida is currently looking to hire a Full-time Animal Handler/Alligator Wrestler to work at the Miccosukee Indian Village. The Animal Handler will conduct alligator shows and care for the other animals at the Village.  The Animal Handler/Alligator Wrestler will be interacting with Village patrons by offering a brief history about the alligators, the Miccosukee Tribe, and the Florida Everglades. The Animal Handler will be responsible for routine Village Maintenance when alligator shows are not scheduled and for cleaning the alligator pits and feeding the alligators and other animals. Other duties as assigned.

Must have experience and knowledge with handling alligators and other animals and have knowledge of the skills and safety procedures of alligator wrestling and animal handling.


Must have excellent English communication skills.

Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include weekends and Holidays. Current schedule is Wednesday through Sunday from 8:30am to 4:30pm.


Drug screen and background check required.
