As a Security Officer Part Time Driver Customer Service in Merrillville, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a secure environment. This driving post requires a valid driver's license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly with site personnel and visitors, and represent Allied Universal's agile, reliable, innovative, and integrity-driven values.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a chemical/petrochemical location.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, access points, parking areas, perimeter areas, and other designated locations to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access to the location, verify authorization as directed by site procedures, and document visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, spills, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency personnel according to established procedures.
  • Complete accurate reports, patrol logs, and incident documentation, and communicate relevant observations to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
