As a Security Officer - Vehicle Patrols in Portland, OR, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and help support smooth access control operations. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. You will remain visible, perform routine patrols, and deliver excellent customer service and communication while reflecting our values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers by following access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or delivery documentation, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
  • Respond to incidents, access issues, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, with attention to gates, docks, trailer areas, and other key access points as directed by site procedures.
  • Assist with visitor, vendor, and contractor processing, maintain accurate access records, and communicate professionally with personnel regarding site rules and security-related expectations.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
