Job Summary:

The Project Engineer supports the execution of structural steel and related building scopes for mission-critical projects, including large-scale data center developments. The roleis responsible forcoordinating technical deliverables, tracking project progress, and ensuring alignment between engineering, procurement, fabrication, and construction activities.

This position begins with focused ownership of structural steel and building deliverables and is structured to expand into broader, multi-discipline responsibilities over time. The Project Engineer develops technicalexpertise, cross-functional coordination skills, and project execution capabilities, supporting the successful delivery of complex projects while building toward future leadership roles within large-scale data center programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a robust document control process to ensure the latest revisions of drawings, specifications, RFIs, and submittals are used for design, fabrication, and field execution.
  • Performaccuratecost estimating and quantity takeoffs for structural steel components, materials, and labor, supporting both bid and change-order activities.
  • Collaborate closely with the Project Managers and cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues during design development, fabrication, erection, and commissioning phases.
  • Support project scheduling by analyzing critical path timelines, dependencies, and resource requirements to keep hyperscale programs on aggressive delivery schedules.
  • Prepare high-quality technical reports, submittals, shop drawings, and as-built documentation that meet stringent data center quality and compliance standards.
  • Contribute tocontinuous process improvements by researching and implementing new tools, methods, and technologies in steel engineering and construction.
  • Travelup to25%of the time
Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Education:Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, Construction Management, or relatedfield.
  • Experience:3+ years of relevant experience supporting structural steel projects in industrial or data center environments.
  • Strong technical knowledge of steel detailing, fabrication, erection, and associated building systems.
  • Experience with document control, quantity takeoffs, submittals, RFIs, and change management.
  • Familiarity with scheduling tools, BIM processes, and construction management software.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and technical writing abilities.
  • Eagerness to grow into broader disciplinary responsibilities.
