Job description

The Tennessee College of Applied Technology Northwest Newbern campus is accepting applications for the position of Allied Health Assistant Coordinator. This will be Monday through Friday, from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. part-time position.
Minimum Qualifications:
โ€ข Technical diploma in Practical Nursing required; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or an Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) preferred. Teaching experience preferred.
โ€ข Must possess current, unincumbered nursing license with the Tennessee Board of Nursing.
โ€ข Must possess good oral and written communication skills; have the ability to deal pleasantly and tactfully with outside clinical organizations, contracted vendors, students, and instructors.
โ€ข BLS certification and ability to obtain BLS instructor certification required.
โ€ข Must have good organizational and planning skills. Record keeping experience preferred.
โ€ข Be willing to learn and use institutional policies and procedures.
โ€ข Experience with various healthcare settings is a plus.
General Duties: This position provides assistance to the Director of Nursing and Allied Health including, but not limited to reviewing and analyzing admission requirements for upcoming nursing and allied health students; assisting with clinical requirements and placements for nursing and allied health students; scheduling and reviewing drug screens for nursing and allied health students; coordinating uniform fittings and purchasing for nursing and allied health students; reviewing and submitting new and existing clinical contracts; assisting allied health instructors with classroom teaching, skills lab simulations, and clinicals as needed; recruiting and maintaining advisory members for nursing and allied health programs; maintaining records for COE and Board of Nursing requirements, maintaining student records for nursing and allied health programs, assisting with transcript submissions and post graduate follow ups; proctoring examinations related to nursing and allied health; marketing and recruitment of potential nursing and allied health students for traditional and dual enrollment classes (including high school functions, job fairs, and community events); coordinating campus specific activities. Performs related work and other duties as assigned.
Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience and according to salary guidelines established by the Tennessee Board of Regents.
