Job Description
As a Security Officer - Administration Building in San Antonio, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Allied Universal Officer in a retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. This is a driving post, offering the opportunity to support daily operations with agility, reliability, and integrity while working as part of a caring, innovative team focused on people first.

What You'll Do:
  • Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at the location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing details with management and/or public responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the store, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and report suspicious behavior and/or unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help to deter theft, trespassing, and/or policy violations while maintaining a visible presence and assisting with access-related concerns.
  • Support retail operations by observing customer and employee activity, helping with crowd and/or line management during busy periods, and reporting hazards, maintenance concerns, and other security-related issues.

Minimum Requirements:
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
