Integrated Healthcare Services is seeking a travel Cardiovascular Technologist for a travel job in Peoria, Illinois.

Job Description & Requirements

Job Summary:

  • Assist cardiologists in performing invasive and diagnostic/interventional cardiac, vascular, and electrophysiologic procedures.
  • Provide technical hemodynamic monitoring and interpretation using automated techniques.
  • Ensure patient care, safety, and satisfaction during procedures.
  • Collaborate with team members, physicians, and research staff to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate electrical/imaging equipment and computers.
  • Interpret hemodynamic and procedural results.
  • Operate monophasic and biphasic defibrillators.
  • Educate and communicate effectively with patients to alleviate anxiety.
  • Assist with anesthesia needs for sedated or anesthetized patients.
  • Maintain aseptic technique and prepare sterile fields.
  • Monitor and report equipment performance and ensure safety compliance.
  • Interpret EKGs and alert physicians to irregular activity.
  • Manage digital archiving systems for patient images and reports.
  • Train and mentor team members as needed.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of applicable experience.
  • Knowledge of hemodynamic concepts, cardiac anatomy, and physiology.
  • Proficiency in moderate sedation administration and policy protocol.
  • Advanced EKG interpretation and arrhythmia recognition skills.
  • Competency in sterile table setup and patient preparation for procedures.
  • Basic computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets, email, web browsing).
  • Fluency in English with multicultural sensitivity.

Required Education:

  • Associate's Degree in a related field or Certificate of Completion for a Radiology Program.

Required Certifications & Licensure:

  • IEMA License in Radiologic Technology (Illinois).
  • BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association).
  • ARRT Registration in Radiology.
