Seasoned Part-Time Line Cook at The Springs Living (High-End Senior Living)
Position Title: Part -Time Line Cook
Department: Culinary Services
Reports To: Executive Chef / Food & Beverage Director
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Line Cook to join our culinary team in a luxury senior living community. The ideal candidate is a skilled professional with a strong background in high-volume, restaurant-quality food preparation, a commitment to excellence, and a genuine desire to enhance the dining experience of our residents. This role requires attention to detail, consistency, food safety expertise, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes, production sheets, and chef specifications.
  • Maintain exceptional food quality, presentation, and consistency for daily service and special events.
  • Execute multiple cooking stations efficiently during breakfast, lunch, dinner, and catered functions.
  • Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with sanitation, food safety, and dietary guidelines.
  • Assist with menu implementation, recipe adherence, and portion control standards.
  • Monitor food inventory, rotate stock, and minimize waste through proper storage and handling procedures.
  • Collaborate with chefs and culinary team members to ensure timely meal service.
  • Accommodate resident dietary needs, including therapeutic, modified-texture, and allergen-sensitive meals.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.
  • Assist with receiving deliveries, inspecting product quality, and storing inventory appropriately.
  • Support special events, holiday meals, and upscale dining experiences for residents and guests.
  • Mentor less experienced kitchen staff and contribute to a positive team culture.

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of professional cooking experience, preferably in fine dining, upscale hospitality, country clubs, resorts, healthcare, or senior living communities.
  • Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, food preparation, and presentation standards.
  • Experience working with scratch kitchens and high-quality ingredients.
  • Understanding of food safety regulations and sanitation standards.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining quality standards.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Food Handler's Permit and/or ServSafe Certification preferred.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
