Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-orientedย Certified Welding Inspector (CWI)ย to join our team in Colorado Springs. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all welding activities meet the applicable codes, standards, project specifications, and safety regulations. This is a critical role in maintaining the quality and integrity of welded components used in various projects.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Performย visual inspectionsย of welds and welded assemblies.

  • Verify compliance withย Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS)ย and applicable codes (e.g.,ย AWS D1.2/D1.2M).

  • Develop, maintain, and reviewย welding procedures,ย welder qualification records, and inspection documentation.

  • Monitor welding processes for adherence toย quality,ย safety, andย technical standards.

  • Document inspection results and generateย accurate reportsย for internal use and client delivery.

  • Collaborate closely withย engineering, QA, fabrication, andย management teamsย to resolve issues and improve processes.

  • Identify and ensureย corrective actionsย are implemented for non-conformance findings.

  • Participate inย quality audits, team meetings, andย continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Conductย welder performance qualification testingย perย AWS D1.2 Structural Welding Code โ€“ Aluminum.

  • Stay informed on industry best practices, standards, and certifications.


Required Qualifications:
  • Valid AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI)ย certification.

  • Minimumย 3 years of experienceย in welding inspection or quality control.
